Committee Confirms 3rd Edition Of Jud Pop Street For April 17th, In The City Of Araguaína

The Jud Pop Street Regional Committee set, in meeting this Friday (Feb 20th), the realization of the 3rd edition of the task force in the city of Araguaína, on April 17th, with attendance from 8 am to 6 pm, at the Jardenir Jorge Figueiredo State College, and closing with a community wedding. The initiative, coordinated by the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, brings together partner institutions to bring justice, citizenship and reception to people on the street and strengthen a humanized public policy in the State.

The meeting marked the first agenda of the committee in 2026 and featured representatives from the bodies that are members of the Jud Pop Street. According to the resolution on the task force in the city of Araguaína, a municipality that records around 136 people in street situation. To ensure quality in the service, there will be training of volunteers on April 15th, in the auditorium of the Forum of the district of Araguaína, with transmission to the city of Palmas.

Each partner institution must indicate, in a shared spreadsheet, the services it will offer during the task force, which will bring together legal, social and health care, as well as guidelines for access to benefits and document regularization.

During the meeting, the coordinator and vice-coordinator of the committee, Justice Ângela Prudente and Judge Rosa Maria Gazire Rossi, highlighted that the third edition represents institutional progress and reinforces the permanent commitment to human dignity and access to Justice.

According to Justice Ângela Prudente, the initiative overcomes the point logic of task forces and consolidates a continuous policy of attention to the population in street situation. The justice states that each edition strengthens a practice of humanity that transforms realities and broadens rights. "The task force reaffirms the commitment to take Justice beyond offices, with efficient services, reception and respect for those who need it most," she said.

The meeting took place in a hybrid format, with the participation of magistrates and civil services from the districts of Araguaína and Gurupi.

Deliberations and referrals

Also during the meeting, the members approved the final report sent to the National Council of Justice (CNJ). The committee also reported on the "Solidary Hanger" campaign, started on February 10th, and requested support from partner institutions.

Another referral dealt with the formalization of a Term of Cooperation with institutions to expand services and ensure integrated care. The group also advanced on the proposal of the Friends of Jud Pop Street of the state of Tocantins Seal , among other deliberations.
