The State Prosecution of Tocantins (MPTO), through the Center for Studies and Functional Improvement - Superior School of the State Prosecution (CESAF-ESMP), published the notice of the selection process for the post graduation lato sensu on "Strategies to Combat Organized Crime", which is part of the specialization program of the institution for the first semester of 2026. The course was advertised as free of charge, without monthly fees, and aimed at professionals with a degree in Law, both members of MPTO and candidates from the community in general.
Registrations were scheduled to take place from 9am on February 9th to 6pm on February 10th, by virtual form available on the site of CESAF-ESMP.
The notice established 50 vacancies, with distribution among MPTO members (13), MPTO civil servers (13) and the community in general (9), as well as a reserve for affirmative action, with 10 vacancies for black candidates (black or brown) and 5 vacancies for people with disabilities (PcD), with rules of deployment in case of non-completion.
The selection was defined in a single step, with analysis of Letter of Intention, which must present an initial research proposal linked to one of the two axes of the course: (1) Dogmatic Criminal, Procedural and Investigative Strategies of High Complexity or (2) Criminal Policy, Criminal Governance and Public Security Policy. For classification, the notice set a minimum score of 60 points. It was also predicted that all the candidates would go through social research with an eliminatory character, conducted by the responsible MPTO core, observing the LGPD.
With an expected duration of 20 months and 360 class hours, including the period for TCC (Final Course Project), the course was organized in a face-to-face format, with classes on Thursdays (from 6 to 10pm), Fridays (from 9am to 12pm and 2 to 6pm) and Saturdays (from 9am to 12pm and 2 to 6pm), according to academic calendar.
