TJTO Opens Judicial Year 2026 With Emphasis On Training And Innovation Promoted By Esmat

The Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) held, on Monday (Feb 2nd), the solemn opening session of the Judicial Year of 2026, marking the beginning of the activities of the Court and the new expanded composition of the Full Court.

Present at the ceremony, the general director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), Justice Marco Villas Boas , received mention from the president of the TJTO, Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal. She recalled that, in 2025, Esmat continued with continuing training actions aligned to the guidelines of the TJTO and the CNJ, aimed at results and practical applicability. Among the milestones of the period, he cited the opening of the first class of Doctorate in associative offer with UFT.  

“I highlight Esmat, which achieved national recognition with the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and continues to make a difference in the permanent training of magistrates and civil servers, congratulating Justice Marco for the work done", she said.

Villas Boas strengthened the advances in innovation and digital transformation, with the inauguration of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence (LIIARES), strengthening partnerships that integrate knowledge, technology and improvement of judicial provision.

“I thank all the units and people involved for the commitment and dedication that made possible a productive year, consistent and aligned with the demands of Justice of the state of Tocantins", said.
