In reference to the Blue November, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) launches a new episode of the ESMATCast, focusing on awareness and prevention of prostate cancer and on habits that strengthen integral care for the health of men.
The edition brings together the magistrate Roniclay Alves, deputy director of Esmat, and the doctor Urologist Daniel Carvalho de Melo Rocha, who works in the areas of reconstructive urology, robotic surgery and infertility. Daniel is a founding partner of Gerare Clinics (currently part of the FertGroup group) and Palmas Medical Center Hospital (now part of KORA Health). During the conversation, the guest highlights the importance of overcoming taboos, seeking regular follow-up and valuing early detection.
The Brazilian Ministry of Health reinforces that the investigation of prostate cancer may involve a blood test (PSA) and rectal touch, and that diagnosis and treatment are available at SUS, with greater chances of success when the disease is identified early. Data from INCA indicate that prostate cancer is among the most incidents in men in Brazil, with an estimated 71,730 new cases in the country (reference of the three-year period 2023-2025).
