The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) continues to advance in the consolidation of its institutional mission. Two new lato sensu graduate degrees have been approved by the Institutional and Academic Council of the School: the course in Business and Agribusiness Law and the MBA in Applied Artificial Intelligence.
The authorizations are contained in the Resolutions 445 and 446, published in the Gazette of Justice of the state of Tocantins in May of 2025.
Agribusiness impacts different spheres, including the legal sphere. The lato sensu graduate degree in Business and Agribusiness Law responds to a strategic demand of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins and it has as its proposal to support the professionals of the area in understanding the legal specificities of the sector. Structured from the integration between theory and practice, the course will offer legal tools applicable to the judicialized processes of agribusiness, focusing on the improvement of the judicial provision.
The MBA in Applied Artificial Intelligence will aim to qualify professionals for the development, strategic application and management of solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the most diverse institutional contexts. With an interdisciplinary background, the course will combine technical foundations of AI with a critical and ethical approach to its use, focused on solving complex problems, data-driven decision making and process innovation.
The new offers add to the portfolio of in-person specializations of Esmat, whose accreditation was recently renewed for another five years by the Government of the State of Tocantins, according to the Decree 6,981.
The notice of the post graduation will be published next week. Already the MBA notice is being prepared, with publication expected in August. Both courses will follow the current legislation and the Internal Regulations of the School, with pedagogical projects developed by the Graduate Center.
