Second Episode Of The Podcast On Poder (Power) Of The Voice Discusses Damage To Physical Health Caused By Discrimination And Harassment At Work

The Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) has launched a new episode of the podcast on “PODer (Power) of the Voice: voices that echo against harassment and all forms of discrimination, addressing the physical damage caused by harassment and discrimination in the workplace. Occupational health experts discuss how the chronic stress resulting from these situations can trigger specific illnesses and compromise immune systems of workers, highlighting the importance of healthy and respectful working environments.

Presented by Justice Ângela Issa Haonat, president of the Commission for the Prevention of Moral, Sexual and All Forms of Discrimination in the 2nd Level (CASSEDIO2G), and Magistrate Flávia Afini Bovo, president of the Commission for the Prevention of Moral, Sexual and All Forms of Discrimination in the 1st  Level (CASSEDIO1G), in this episode, the interviewee is Dr. Elaine Cristina Ferreira, cardiologist and coordinator of the Health Space at the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).

The episode reflects on the most common physical symptoms, such as chronic pain, gastrointestinal problems and sleep disorders, as well as addressing the responsibility of companies in preventing these problems. Among the recommended strategies are educational training, psychological and medical support for affected employees, as well as actions that promote cultural changes in organizations.
