
The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) opens the month of April with a series of trainings aimed at strengthening institutional performance and promoting knowledge in different areas of the Judiciary. Shall we take a look at some of these activities?
The first class of 2025 of the Literary Workshops begins its activities on April 22nd with reading circles on Torto Arado, by Itamar Vieira Junior - winner of the Jabuti Prize for Best Literary Novel in 2020. Registrations will be open from Monday the 7th.

As for the civil servers of the Coordination of Corrections, Planning and Improvement of the 1st Instance (CPLAN/CGJUS), the WORKSHOP on the Usability of the Sicor System in Corrections is underway in the virtual environment of the School and it continues until the 15th of this month. The activity is coordinated by Judge Manuel de Faria Reis Neto.
From April 8th to 10th, the course on Special Courts and the Public Treasury: Theory and Practice of Decisions will be held in person at ESMAT, with a class load of 20 hours, aimed at judges and civil servers who have previously registered.
On the 10th and 11th, the focus will be on innovation. The School will be offering the course on Public Procurement Planning supported by Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on the New Bidding Law. The purpose of the course is to train professionals in the areas of Bids and Contracts in the practical use of tools based on Generative Artificial Intelligence (IAGen), from the planning of contracts to the management and inspection of contracts.
Also on April 11th, the fourth class of the Restorative Facilitators Training begins, and it will continue until July. The proposal, coordinated by Judge Silvana Maria Parfieniuk, is to train professionals who are able to apply restorative practices in different contexts, promoting dialog and strengthening social bonds in school, community and judicial environments.
From April 14th to November 17th, the course on Updating in Judicial Medical Expertise will be aimed at doctors who work or wish to work as experts, covering regulations, preparing reports, acting ethically and the challenges of expertise in the judicial sphere.
Towards the end of the month, from April 22nd to 25th, the course on Criminal Sentencing in Practice will be held, coordinated by Judge Wellington Magalhães. The training aims to deepen the technical and practical knowledge of civil servers and advisors who work with criminal decisions, offering an applied approach to the drafting of sentences.
