Enfam Offers Continuing Training On Consumer Credit And Over-Indebtedness

The National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam) is open for registration for the Continuing Training course on Consumer Credit and Over-indebtedness. The training takes place in the form of Distance Education (DE), with a class load of 30 hours, and there are 40 places available. Registrations can be made through EducaEnfam until March 31st and the course will take place from April 3rd to May 5th.

The training aims to deepen the understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects related to the recent update of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC), provided for in the Law 14.181/2021. The course aims to train the judiciary to deal with and apply the new legislation and to promote a culture of responsible credit and protection for consumers in debt.

The training was already held in 2024 and there was more demand than the number of places offered, which was justified by the updating of the CDC, especially with regard to credit, consumption and over-indebtedness. This increase showed a growing demand on the subject and, for this reason, Enfam decided to offer the training again in 2025.

Accessibility and inclusion

Affirmative Action Policy of Enfam will be taken into account in the registration and selection process for professors and students. In addition, specific cases will be taken into account, as requested on the registration form, to ensure accessibility and inclusion for all participants. If necessary, assistive technologies will be made available for classes, such as sign language, subtitling and audio description.
