Registrations are now open for the CNJ Category of the 22nd edition of the Innovare Award, in 2025. The theme of this year is Racial Equity and the Fight against Racism. Registrations for this category must be submitted by May 2nd.
To take part in the CNJ Category, the practices must be entered by courts and magistrates directly on the CNJ Portal for Good Practices in the Judiciary under the axis “Racial Equity”.
The work will then be evaluated by the Plenary of the National Council of Justice. After approval, the selected practices will be considered by the Innovare Award Judging Committee. One of them will be chosen as the winner.
The official ceremony to launch the award will take place on March 25th at the headquarters of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), in the city of Brasília/DF.
For the other categories of the Innovare Award, the registration period will begin on March 26th. In the Court, Judge, Public Prosecution, Public Defender's Office, Advocacy and Justice and Citizenship categories, applications must be made exclusively through the website of the Innovare Award.
After completing a registration form and creating a password, the candidate must answer a form with questions specially prepared to describe the practices, their benefits, motivation and main achievements. Then, if approved for participation, the practices will be visited by specialized consultants to confirm the data provided in the registration forms.
In the final phase, the works are analyzed by the Judging Committee, which will choose one practice for the Outstanding Award, with the theme on Technology and Efficiency of Justice; one winning practice in the CNJ Category and two finalist practices in each of the other six categories.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the headquarters of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) in December.
