New VoIP technology for institutional telephony

The Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, through the Directorate of Information Technology (DTINF), has implemented the VoIP telephone service in all administrative and judicial units, including Esmat. VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology replaces traditional analog telephony, bringing significant improvements in communication quality and greater operational efficiency.

Main benefits of VoIP

  • Savings on calls, especially long-distance and international calls.
  • Elimination of the need to maintain traditional telephone exchanges.
  • Expansion and adjustments with less investment in infrastructure.
  • Possibility of remote service by magistrates and civil servers, with just an internet connection and an app on mobile devices.
  • Superior audio, without noise or interference, compared to traditional telephony.
  • Advanced encryption (TLS and SRTP) to protect calls from interception, guaranteeing security and confidentiality.
  • Reduced resource consumption by eliminating physical telephone lines, contributing to more sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
