By unanimity, Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, current Chief Justice, was elected President of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) for the Biennium 2025/2027, on Thursday (October 3rd). The act took place in the 17th session of the year, the first of October, following the rules of the Internal Regulations - Resolution no 104, of June 21st of 2018 (republication). But after all, what does the norm say? That’s what you will see in this article.
The choice for the composition of the Board of Directors occurs according to the Art. 330 of the Chapter I – from the Election to the Offices of the Court. It defines all the positions for the expiring biennium, from the President, vice President, Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice, and other members of the Council of Magistracy, as well as General and first Deputy Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the state of Tocantins (Esmat), Judicial Ombudsman, substitute Ombudsman, coordinator of the Judicial Center for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejusc) of the 2nd degree and members of the Permanent Commissions.
The session is public, and according to the Rules of Procedure, the election for these offices will take place at the first session of the month of October, by means of a secret vote of the full Court.
Voting
Conducted by the President of the TJTO, Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, the voting, through ballots, was initiated by the position of President, followed by the vice-President, where the Justice Jacqueline Adorno was elected. 
Following, the election of the other positions of the Board of Directors 2025/2027 of the Full Court of Justice (TJTO) began, when all were elected unanimously.
Tenure
According to the Art. 332, the tenure of the President of the TJTO takes place on the first working day of February at 2 pm in a solemn plenary session, with the transmission of the position of the President who is ending her term. The positions of vice President, Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice and other members of the Council of the Judiciary, and the other positions envisaged shall be filled subsequently in the presence of the new President, The transfer of positions occurs at the same time.
