The Page For Emission Of Court Certificates Has A New Look; Among The Updates Are New Tools Available As Of This Thursday (September 12th)

The Judiciary of the State of Tocantins (PJTO) is always looking to improve the judicial provision and make its services more effective. As of this Thursday (September 12th), it will have new tools in the system for emission of 1st and 2nd degree court certificates.

With these tools, it will be possible for citizens to correct certificates that were issued incorrectly or to ask for certificates to be replaced when there are changes in the situation that generated the first certificate.

“For example, if a certificate was issued because there was an ongoing case and then the case was closed, the citizen no longer has to wait for the previous certificate to expire. Now, it is possible, directly in the system, to explain the reason for the change and request a new certificate quickly and simply,” explains Pâmela da Rocha Pires Ferreira, who works in the Eproc support at the Judicial Directorate of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (Dijud/TJTO).

No bureaucracy

The resource makes it possible to correct the certificate without bureaucracy, since the applicant can request the change in the system itself, with justification. “We used to be able to make corrections, but it was more laborious. Citizens couldn't request it directly via the system, they had to speak to the assessor to determine the situation, open a ticket and only then would the corrected documentation be issued,” said Pâmela.

A new look

Another novelty was the restructuring of the judicial certificates page – www.tjto.jus.br/servicos/certidoes -, which now includes a presentation; definition of terms; alerts; relevant legislation; and a Frequently Asked Questions field.

How to issue a certificate

When entering the site, the citizen selects the Degree and the type of certificate they wish to issue. The document is issued automatically by Eproc, but in some situations, such as homonyms (people with identical names), the system does not issue the certificate automatically. As a result, a link will be made available, where the citizen will have to enter the new system with the Gov.br password and fill in a form so that the complementary information can be directed to a court server who will analyze the data provided to find out if the certificate is positive or negative, and issue the document. Once issued, the certificate will be available on the certificate system and in the e-mail of the requester.
