The Judiciary of the State of Tocantins (PJTO) is already preparing for the 19th edition of the National Conciliation Week, which will take place from November 4th to 8th. With the theme on "It’s time to Reconcile", the initiative of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) aims to stimulate the citizen to resolve judicial conflicts.

Initiated in 2006 by the CNJ, the campaign is held annually and it involves all the Courts of Justice of the country, Federal Regional Courts and Regional Labor Courts, in a joint effort to facilitate agreements among the parties, providing an opportunity to resolve legal issues quickly and effectively.

At the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), the National Conciliation Week is coordinated by the Permanent Center for Consensual Methods of Conflict Resolution (Nupemec) and support from the Judicial Centers for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejuscs).

How to attend a conciliation hearing?

The conciliations intended during the Week are called procedural, that is, when the case is already in court. However, there is another form of conciliation: the pre-procedural or informal, which occurs before the process is initiated and the interested party itself seeks the solution of the conflict with the help of conciliators or mediators.

In the State of Tocantins, the Judiciary selects the processes that have the possibility of agreement and injunctions the parties involved in the conflict. If the citizen or institution has an interest in including the process in the Week, should seek in advance the Institution by phone: (63) 3218-4348 or e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. We emphasize that the pre-procedural conciliation can be carried out in the Judicial Center for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejusc).
