Cnj Extends Applications For The Judge Viviane Vieira Do Amaral Award Until August 9th

Registrations for the 4th edition of the Judge Viviane Vieira do Amaral Award of the CNJ have been extended until August 9th. The initiative of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) seeks to recognize actions and projects to prevent and confront domestic and family violence.  

The award is given in six categories: courts, representatives of the judiciary, the Criminal Justice System – State Prosecution Office, Public Defender's Office - the legal profession, civil servers, as well as categories for the media, academic production and non-governmental organizations. 

According to the notice, the projects submitted must have been carried out in the last two years. When filling in the electronic form, you must also send files - videos, photos and PDF documents - demonstrating the application and results of the practice. It is also necessary to identify the main causes of problems, with an indication of improvement plans and expected results; a description of the difficulties found during implementation and how the measure can be replicated elsewhere. 

The award ceremony is scheduled for September 17th, the date of the 4th Extraordinary Session of 2024.

Tribute

Created by the Resolution 377/2021 of the CNJ, the award honors the Judge Viviane Vieira do Amaral of the Court of Justice of the State of Rio de Janeiro (TJRJ). She was murdered by her ex-husband in December of 2020.
