Cnj: Award Will Recognize Innovative Solutions To Justice Challenges

Registrations are open until July 26th for the first edition of the Innovation Award of the Judiciary, promoted by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), which will recognize actions to improve processes and services and those responsible for them; stimulate, disseminate and contemplate the search for innovative solutions in the provision of services to the population.

Initiatives for the award must be submitted using the electronic form available at this address. Participation is open to Judges, civil servers, outsourced employees, trainees, lay Judges, conciliators and mediators, as well as young learners. All must be working in the Judiciary and must have worked to implement innovative actions.  

"The award is a recognition of the commitment that Brazilian courts have made to innovate in the provision of services to the population and to ensure that justice meets the demands of society with creativity and speed," says councillor of the CNJ Daniela Madeira. "The award will encourage everyone who works in the Judiciary to improve their day-to-day work, in the name of more effective results at lower costs," says the member of the competition committee and coordinator of the Innovation, Intelligence and Sustainable Development Goals Laboratory of the Council. 

Cathegories

The Innovation Award of the Judiciary will focus on three categories: innovative judicial management; innovative judicial technology; and innovative judicial services for users. Each team that applies must have between three and 15 participants. The announcement of the winners and recognition of the outstanding initiatives is scheduled to take place during the Annual Meeting of Innovation Laboratories of the Judiciary in September.  

The Innovation Award Committee of the Judiciary will be responsible for evaluating and ranking the proposals. In awarding points, the members of this collegiate body will take into account the complexity of the challenge to be solved; the innovation process; the efficient use of resources; the adoption of partnerships and the participation of users; the expected results; and, finally, the degree of replicability.
