In the State of Tocantins, the Judiciary, through the General Internal Affairs of Justice, has organized the entire structure and it is mobilized to receive the population that needs the service during the week.

Priority

According to Esmar Custódio Vêncio Filho, the Assistant Judge supervising notary and registration services and coordinator of the Register in the State of Tocantins, the project will be carried out in the city of Palmas, each day at a Cras unit, "giving priority to those places where, based on the experience of last year, there was the greatest need", in other words, where there are people with this profile of socio-economic vulnerability.

Agrotins, according to the magistrate, is another option for the campaign, due to the large flow of people who will pass through. "We're going to have two registrars from the city of Palmas and two civil servers from the Judiciary, who will be there all day," he said.

According to Judge Esmar Custódio, this year there will also be the participation of the Public Security Secretariat, which will set up a stand to issue the new ID. "We're also going to issue second copies of birth, marriage and death certificates to prisoners in the units of Araguaína, Palmas and Gurupi," he said.

The aim of the campaign, which is taking place simultaneously throughout the country, is to increase access to basic documents for everyone. Promoted by the National Court of Justice, the intention is also to promote fundamental rights and guarantees, as well as access to the full exercise of citizenship.

Partnerships

Partners of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins in this mobilization are the state government, Palmas City Hall, the State Prosecution, the Public Defender's Office, the Tocantins BAR, the Association of Natural People Registrars (Arpen), the delegates of the Civil Registry Offices of the city of Palmas and the Municipal Council of the Associations of Residents and Community Entities of the city of Palmas.
