General Director Of Esmat Participates In Webinar On "200 Years Of Constitutionalization Of Brazil: The Birth Of The Courts" Promoted By The Judicial School Of Goiás

The Judicial School of the Court of Justice of the State of Goiás (Ejug) held a historical webinar on the 200th anniversary of the Constitutionalization of Brazil, focusing on the birth of the courts. The event, which brought together renowned experts and jurists, highlighted the evolution of the Brazilian judicial system since the promulgation of the first Constitution in 1824.

Mediated by Justice Marco Villas Boas, General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and President of the College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem), the webinar was conducted by Justice Jeronymo Pedro Villas Boas, Director of the Judicial School of the State of Goiás (Ejug). The event featured a speaker, Justice Caetano Levi Lopes, Director of the National School of the Judiciary (ENM), and debaters, Justices Lidivaldo Britto, from Unicorp/BA, and Rogério Garcia, from the Justice Edésio Fernandes Judicial School (Ejef/MG).

During the webinar, topics such as the importance of the courts in consolidating the rule of law, the challenges faced over the years and the fundamental role of magistrates in interpreting and applying the law were discussed. The webinar was also a unique opportunity to reflect on the history and role of the courts in building Brazil as a democratic nation governed by the rule of law, contributing to the improvement of the Brazilian judicial system.
