Debates on sustainability in the countryside, concern for the environment, climate emergencies, the challenges of supplementary healthcare and advances in artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector and other economic sectors were discussed on the third day of the seminar on "The new directions of the global economy". For three days, other topics such as social security, litigation financing and labor relations were discussed by renowned researchers and professionals from the economic, legal, environmental and social fields.
Among the authorities present, the programming of the last day was attended by STM Justice Artur Vidigal de Oliveira and STJ Justices Antônio Saldanha Palheiro, Marcos Buzzi and Luís Felipe Salomão. Also present was the President of the Court of Justice of the State of Bahia (TJBA), Justice Cynthia Maria Pina Resende.
In his closing speech, Justice Marco Villas Boas, President of Copedem, reinforced the dynamics of the panel discussions, recalling the advances in the use of generative artificial intelligence within the Judiciary as a working tool. "We need to act with all the necessary ethics and caution, but of course without losing the sight of history. This issue is very complex, we need to be careful, but we can't stop using them. We're already on the high seas, there's no going back," he argued.
Seminar
The seminar was organized by the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem) in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and had the institutional support of the Minister Sálvio de Figueiredo Teixeira National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam), the National School of the Judiciary (ENM), under the coordination of Memory and Compedium.
