The director of EPM, Justice José Maria Câmara Junior, met today (28th) with the President of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (Copedem) and General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), Justice Marco Anthony Steveson Villas Boas. The meeting was attended by the Executive Director of Esmat, Ana Beatriz de Oliveira Pretto.

On the occasion, Justice Marco Villas Boas decorated the EPM Director with the Esmat Medallion. The medal is awarded by the Institutional and Academic Council of Esmat to honor personalities for their contribution to the construction of knowledge, encouragement of good practices and academic and professional dedication to research and improvement of the judicial provision.

Justice Marco Villas Boas highlighted that the awarding of the commendation also aims to recognize the contribution of EPM, by its Directors, to the improvement of Esmat and recalled the transmission of the Initial Training and Lifelong Learning courses of EPM for magistrates from the State of Tocantins in 2008. Justice José Maria Câmara Junior thanked the visit and the kindness of the honor, noting that he receives the tribute on behalf of the institution. He emphasized the importance of the recognition of Esmat of the work of EPM for the magistrates and civil servers who work and have worked at EPM since its creation. He emphasized the proximity between the judicial schools, recalling that one of the EPM auditoriums is equipped with a solid wood table (Angelin Rosa), donated by Esmat in 2008.

The director of EPM emphasized that EPM is at the disposal of Copedem and the magistrates members of the College and invited the President to participate in events that EPM will hold in August, the 'International Seminar on Comparative Law on gender violence: a Brazil-France look' and the seminar on 'Reflections on the German judicial system in the third millennium'. He also emphasized that the EPM has the institutional support of the National School for Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam) for the realization of the international seminar and for several study centers for magistrates, in the areas of Civil Procedural, Tax, Maritime and Environmental Law. He then showed Justice Marco Villas Boas some of the facilities and equipment of the School, in particular the new auditorium on the first floor, other auditoriums, active methodology activity rooms and the hybrid room on the 5th floor.
