Campaign to collect literary books continues for the awã canoeiro indigenous village

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) is in full action to collect literary books for the Awã Canoeiro indigenous village. The campaign, which seeks to promote access to reading and encourage the habit from childhood, is still receiving donations of new and/or used books, with a focus on Brazilian literature, especially works aimed at children, such as novels, novellas, short stories, chronicles, poems, plays, and dramas.

The collection points are available from Monday to Friday, from noon to 6pm, at the Esmat Library, located at 302 North Street 1, 1-165 TO, Zip Code: 77006-328, in the North Director Plan district, in the city of Palmas-TO. In addition, donations can also be made at the reception of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), located at the Tocantins River Justice Palace Girassóis Square no number, downtown, zip code: 77001-002.

I have no used books, how can I contribute?

If you do not have used books available, you can contribute by purchasing quality books and sending them directly to the School. To facilitate this form of support, a list of recommended books has been organized and can be consulted clicking here

In addition to books, the campaign is also accepting donations of clothes, sheets, towels, blankets, new or in good condition. If you have these items and don't use them, do your part and donate. Donations can be made until May 30th, 2023.
