The Arts, Knowledge and Crafts of the Indigenous Peoples of the State of Tocantins Project team visited the Karajá Xambioá Indigenous Land on April 12th and 13th. On the occasion, they followed a traditional handicraft workshop for children from several villages of the IT. The main objective of the project is to strengthen and preserve the IXY-BIOWA culture, developing art activities, focusing on children, young people and elders of the communities, with the aim of rescuing learning that has been forgotten over time.

The handicraft house has its headquarters in the Wari-Lyty village and it has a space for the development of other cultural activities, such as singing, dancing, body painting, typical foods, and traditional medicine, among others.
