With the theme on The Reconstruction of Human Rights in Latin America from the Judicial Interconstitutionalism, the president of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM) gave a lecture on Friday morning (10th), during the inauguration of the new Board of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Mato Grosso Justice João Antônio Neto (ESMAGIS-MT). Among the topics addressed in the lecture, the president of Copedem spoke about the effectiveness of the decisions of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the Latin American judicial interconstitutionalism.
On the occasion, Justice Levi Caetano, from the State of Minas Gerais, gave a lecture on judicial schools and the new profile of the Brazilian magistracy.
Inauguration
For the biennium 2023-2024, Justice Helena Maria Bezerra Ramos was sworn in as General Director, and Justice Márcio Vidal took over as Deputy General Director. "The new Board of Directors will work based on the institutional values of Esmagis - ethics, effectiveness, innovation, credibility, commitment, and competence - always keeping an eye on the vision of the School: to be excellence in the socialization of the skills of the judges of the State of Mato Grosso, with emphasis on research and innovative technologies," says Justice Helena Ramos, who joined the Board of Directors of Esmagis as Deputy Director for the 2021-2022 biennium.
