The Judiciary of the State of Tocantins and Acre sign an academic cooperation agreement between their State Schools of Magistracy

With the proposal of fostering the exchange of experiences in the fields of teaching, research, and culture, as well as in the implementation of new technologies and investors in technological graduations, engaged in the promotion of the intellectual development of students and teachers, nationally and internationally, encouraging the exchange of knowledge as an evolutionary method of learning, the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins in partnership with the Judiciary of the State of Acre, through the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) and the School of the Judiciary of the State of Acre (ESJUD), signed, on Tuesday afternoon (7th), in the city of Rio Branco (AC), a Technical Academic and Sientific Cooperation Agreement.

The document aims to promote the exchange of teachers, students and researchers, including: implementation of joint research projects; promotion of scientific, social and cultural events; exchange of information and academic publications; programs to carry out post-graduate studies and strict sensu; exchange of information on their organizations, structures and operation; institutionalization of study groups in the area of law; participation in courses, congresses or other educational events; implementation of technical-academic cooperation projects; and distance learning courses. The document emphasizes that, for each specific hypothesis of cooperation, the institutions must jointly prepare a work program that explains how the planned exchange will take place.

Medal

Also on the occasion, Justice Elcio Mendes, Director of the School of the Judiciary of the State of Acre, and Justice Regina Ferrari, former Director of the School and current President of TJAC, were honored with the Esmat Medal. The honor was granted by Justice Marco Villas Boas, General Director of Esmat and President of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy.
