Copedem holds "the role of labor justice in the promotion of social justice - dilemmas, challenges and perspectives” webinar

Discussions on the advances of technology in the labor environment were topics addressed in the Webinar promoted by the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM) in partnership with the National School of Magistracy (ENM) and the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), under the Coordination of Memory – Judicial Memory. Entitled “The role of Labor Justice in the promotion of Social Justice – dilemmas, challenges and prospects” -, the Webinar is available on Copedem’s page on the Youtube Platform.

At the opening, Justice Marco Villas Boas, president of Copedem, recalled the current Brazilian socio-economic situation. "It is necessary for the country to grow in peace, with growth in all dimensions, not only economic, but also environmental, and the discussions on such themes are very opportune at a time when artificial intelligence and its use in the Judiciary are already being discussed," he said.

The program counted with Minister Douglas de Alencar, from the Superior Labor Court, as the scientific coordinator and moderator, and as debaters the Minister Gilmar Mendes, from the Supreme Federal Court; Minister Maria Cristina Peduzzi, from the Superior Labor Court; professor and lawyer Estevão Mallet, from Mallet Associate Lawyers; and the lawyer and professor Sólon Cunha, from the Law School of FGV/SP.

In the program of honors, the ministers Maria Cristina Peduzzi and Douglas de Alencar were decorated with the Copedem Medal in honor of the Judge Domingos Franciulli Neto for relevant services rendered to the legal improvement. Justice Gilmar Mendes, on the other hand, was decorated with the Commemorative Medal for the 15 Years of Copedem, in honor of Associate Justice Antonio Rulli Junior.
