Judge Marco Villas Boas, General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) and president of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM), participated, on Monday afternoon (11th), in the Forum on Security and Human Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, held at the headquarters of the Judicial Power of the State of Bahia (PJBA), in Salvador (BA). The event ends this Tuesday (12th).
During the plenary session that debated the internationalization of the judiciary, the judge acted as the executive secretary of the session. In his speech, Marco Villas Boas recalled that the first cycle of liberation of the constitution of national states, in fact took place in Latin America and then triggered the process in Africa, "with all the promotion of this development in all dimensions, including socio-cultural, political, economic, and especially with an ecological dimension. The fact is that the different realities, from which Western constitutionalism has risen on the primacy of principles of human dignity, and having in the general control of power the promotion of human rights," he said.

The event is held by PJBA in partnership with the Latin American Permanent Committee for the Prevention of Crime (COPLAD) - a program of the United Nations Latin American Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (ILANUD) - and is supported by the Corporate University of the Judiciary of the State of Bahia (UNICORP) and the Regional Bank of Brasília (BRB), in addition to institutional assistance from the Superior Court of Justice (STJ).
The initiative also includes multilateral planning for security, with a focus on science, technology, and innovation, creating opportunities for proactive performance in education, sports, economic growth, social mobility, and the well-being of people in the family and the community.
