Aiming to strengthen partnerships with renowned entities of legal research and training in the country, the General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), Justice Marco Villas Boas was visiting the School of Accounts of the Court of Accounts of the city of São Paulo (SP) last Thursday (13th). The meeting also aims to promote partnership with the offer of Stricto Sensu courses and incentive to scientific research.
On October 13th, the vice-president counselor of the Court of Accounts of the city of São Paulo (TCMSP) and head of the School of Management and Accounts (EGC), Eduardo Tuma, the President Director of EGC, Doctor Professor Ana Carla Bliacheriene and the chief of office of the School, Doctor Professor Luciano Vieira de Araújo, received the visit of Justice Marco Villas Boas, General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) and president of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM), who was accompanied by the Executive Director of ESMAT, Ana Beatriz de Oliveira Pretto. At the end of the meeting, it was established that soon an event will take place between the institutions, at the headquarters of the School of Management and Accounts (EGC).
Also on the program, a meeting with Doctor Professor Ana Carla Bliacheriene, Coordinator of the SmartCitiesBr Research Group, from the University of São Paulo (USP) and coordinator of the "Committee of Innovation, Digital Transition of Governments and Public Policies" from the Rui Barbosa Institute, with the purpose of accomplishing a protocol of intentions for the development of researches and studies directed to the improvement of the Brazilian judiciary. The objective was the establishment of technical, academic, and scientific cooperation, as well as the exchange of experiences and personnel in the fields of teaching, research, and culture, within the areas in which they have a manifest interest. The meeting at the School of Management and Accounts (EGC) of the Court of Accounts of the city of São Paulo (TCMSP) marks the beginning of the partnership between EGC, Esmat, and Copedem.
On the occasion, the General Director of Esmat also met with Doctor Professor Luciano Vieira de Araújo and the vice-president counselor of the School of Accounts of the city of São Paulo, Eduardo Tuma. For the General Director of Esmat, Justice Marco Villas Boas, the proposed cooperation partnership aims to promote the constant academic training of the Judges of the State of Tocantins. "With the academic exchange, our professors will be able to seek new updates in legal doctrine that will strengthen the quality of teaching as well as the events and courses promoted by Esmat," he said.
