The post-graduation course Lato Sensu Digital Justice and Artificial Intelligence is open until August 15th. The specialization is the result of a partnership between the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) and the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).

There are 50 vacancies for Judges and public servers from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, members and public servers from partner bodies of Esmat (State Attorney General’s Office, State Prosecution, Federal Prosecution, Public Defender’ Office, Regional Electoral Court, and the Brazilian Bar Association).

If we have more than the number of vacancies offered by target audience, the candidates will go through a selection process as detailed in item 5 of the NOTICE number 144, of 2022 – SEI number 22.0.000001431-5, in the Journal of Justice number 5.221, of July 6th, 2022, PP. 59-64 (attached to the news item).

The objective of the course is to train the participants, offering them an understanding of Digital Justice and Artificial Intelligence, its tools, its challenges, and the ethical and security issues that surround the theme, and a didactic approach in tune with the combined proposal of the theoretical and practical knowledge.

The specialization will begin in October of this year and it will last 18 months, until April 23rd, 2024, with a total class load of 390 hours. Structured in 10 compulsory subjects, the post graduation will be held in person, in the classroom of Esmat, in the city of Palmas, with complementary activities via Virtual Learning Environment.

Initially, due to the security measures because of COVID-19, the classes will be developed in the remote format, live, through the Google Meet Platform. To register attendance in the web classes, the access must be carried out exclusively through the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat.
