The activities of the Doctorate in Governance and Digital Transformation (PPGGTD) for doctoral students from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins began on August 12th. The program, previously called the Postgraduate Program in Computational Systems Modeling (PPGMCS), is the result of a partnership between the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and the Federal University of the State of Tocantins (UFT).
“Participating in a doctoral program like this, offered by Esmat in partnership with UFT, is a unique opportunity. We are at a time when digital transformation is increasingly present, and we need to be prepared for the demands that lie ahead, providing the educational services that the Judiciary needs to serve society,” commented Executive Director and doctoral student, Ana Beatriz de Oliveira Pretto.
The doctorate aims to train professionals capable of tackling complex problems using innovative technological tools. Integrating knowledge of computer modeling and advanced governance practices, the program enables students to develop efficient solutions to optimize processes and increase the effectiveness of organizations.
Artificial inteligence
In a scenario in which artificial intelligence is becoming one of the most prominent topics for debate, the PPGGTD is an opportunity to further research in this area. Faced with the growing demand for digital solutions, the course is in line with the initiatives of the Judiciary aimed at integrating emerging technologies to improve public management, optimize judicial decisions and improve the services provided.
The classes and projects developed throughout the course will allow students to explore and implement innovative solutions in their areas of expertise, improving processes to enhance the provision of services to society. This initiative is in line with the mission of Esmat, which is to train and improve Judges and civil servers, always in search of good practices and excellence in the provision of justice.
