The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) will hold, on April 23rd, at the Forum of the District of Palmeirópolis, the XVI Class of the Workshop on Selective Solidary Collection: training on solid waste. The activity will be carried out in person, with 30 vacancies, and it is aimed at magistrates, civil servers, trainees, collaborators and accredited members of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins in the district. The coordination of the activity is of Justice Angela Maria Ribeiro Prudente.
The training aims, as mentioned in the Notice no. 029, of 2026, "to improve and consolidate the implementation of the Sustainable Logistics Plan (PLS) and Selective Solidary Collection within the framework of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO)," with dissemination of knowledge, standardization of operational guidelines and strengthening of socio-environmental governance, with special attention to the District of Palmeirópolis.
The programming will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and it will address topics such as Strategic Planning of the Judiciary in the Axis of Sustainability; Classification, Reduction, Reuse and Recycling of Solid Waste; Forms of Treatment and Environmentally Appropriate Final Destination; Environmental, Social and Economic Impacts of the Absence of Selective Collection; and the Role of Waste Management in Mitigating Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
The activities will be conducted by the facilitators Cinthia Barbosa Pires Azevedo and Welica Rodrigues Lemes Barros, both with technical work in the socio-environmental area within the framework of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins.
