Listen carefully. Welcome carefully. Reflect deeply. These were some of the gestures that marked the II WEBINAR on Voluntary Delivery: Flow and Responsibilities of the Network, promoted on this Thursday (October 9th), in a virtual way, by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat). The event brought together professionals from the Multidisciplinary Team Management Group (GGEM) and members of the care network - social workers, psychologists, pedagogues, magistrates and civil servers who work directly or indirectly with the legal delivery of babies for adoption.
During the opening, Judge Adriano Gomes de Melo Oliveira, coordinator of Childhood and Youth at the TJTO and responsible for coordinating training, highlighted the role of the General Internal Affairs of Justice (CGJUS) and the strategic role of Esmat in promoting events with such social relevance.
“It is our achievement to witness another event that has the realization by Esmat of such an important theme, which is worked by CGJUS, through the State Judicial Adoption Commission (CEJA). We still have a long way to go; therefore, we are looking forward to the contributions of the speaker", said the magistrate.
The judge also mentioned the importance of the performance of multidisciplinary teams and the institutional support of the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), recognizing the participation of the state of Tocantins in the development of the Manual of Voluntary Deliver - initiative of the National Forum of Childhood and Youth (FONINJ), in partnership with the Courts of Justice of several States.
The activities were conducted by Social Worker Angélica Gomes, from the Court of Justice of the state of Minas Gerais (TJMG), who shared reflections and experiences accumulated in the implementation of the Legal Delivery Program in the state of Minas Gerais.
“I come with the aim of building a dialogue, to share with you my experiences and knowledge, but also very open to welcome what you bring. (...) It is necessary to understand that this woman who arrives, she arrives with many singularities. It is necessary to look with delicacy, with sensitivity, because otherwise, even with so many legal and theoretical instruments, we cannot achieve what we want with the implementation of the program in our State and in our Counties", said the speaker.
During her speech, Angélica reinforced the distinction between deliver and abandonment, addressed the rights of women and babies, and drew attention to issues of class, race and gender that cross the subject. She also spoke about the importance of reception, active listening and reflective exercise in front of the narratives of those who seek the program. "It is never a decision that can be viewed superficially,"s he said.
