In a hybrid meeting, the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), promoted on Monday (August 25th) the lecture on "The Professional of the Future", given by consultant Roberto Souza de Morais. The initiative integrated the actions in honor of the Day of the Trainee, celebrated on August 18th.

The event brought together magistrates, civil server and trainees, in person and also by ONLINE transmission, in a reflection on the contemporary challenges of the world of work. The role of the new generations in building collaborative, ethical and innovative environments was discussed.

The opening had the participation by video conference of Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, president of the TJTO, who highlighted the importance of the internship for the training of future professionals.

“The contribution of the trainees is fundamental to our work. They work in several areas, such as Judicial, Administrative and IT, always with dedication and responsibility. Many follow the career after the experience in the internship, which shows the commitment and the importance of this experience for the future professional", emphasized Justice Maysa.

The Justice also congratulated the trainees for their commitment and the essential role they play in the TJTO. The general director of the TJTO, Francisco Alves Cardoso Filho, besides reinforcing the importance of the trainees, shared his trajectory and experience with the internship that began at age 16.

"I have a story before and after the internship. After the internship I socialized, learned how to work, to relate with people and take advantage of opportunities. So that was, for me, a foundation of the best".

Appreciation and care

As part of the celebrations, the trainees were also provided with the adjustment in the values of the internship grant and the transport aid. According to the Ordinance no 2.476, of 2025, the monthly value of the scholarship went from R$ 1,000.00 to R$ 1,260.00, and the transportation aid of R$ 200.00 to R$ 240.00, already from this month of August.

Paula Jorge Catalan Maia, director of People Management, stressed the concern of the institution with the development of trainees. "Today it was thought with great affection this moment to provide for the trainees this learning, the vision of a professional who has extensive experience, the view of possibility of growth, what the market needs, what the market expects, what are the possibilities that they have of growth before a new thing”.

Gabriel Silva Guerreiro, head of the Internship Sector, highlighted the relevance of the role of the trainees. "We have trainees practically in all the Directorates, and in almost all the counties, in various functions. I am sure that their role within the Judiciary is fundamental”.

“Today I’ve learned a lot, I will take an immense baggage and seek to be more proactive in my internship, with more focus and dedication, because we, trainees, also have a very important role here.”

Lecture

During the lecture, the consultant Roberto Souza de Morais highlighted that the trainees live in a scenario marked by numerous opportunities, but also permeated by dilemmas and challenges that require constant preparation. In this context, he stressed the importance of developing emotional, social and behavioral skills, such as self-awareness, self-confidence, adaptability, empathy, leadership, overcoming, teamwork.

He also reinforced the need for continuous learning, encouraging participants to incorporate new experiences, share knowledge, invest in courses and training, use technologies and maintain the habit of reading.

Another highlight was the entrepreneurial vision: Think as a protagonist of your own career, innovate, adapt to changes, and act with ethics and social responsibility. The lecturer also challenged the audience to identify and combat "enemies of time and productivity", such as distractions, excessive use of social networks, laziness and insecurity, always focusing on self-responsibility.

"The future is in the hands of each one. It is up to the trainees to design the future they want.”
