
The environmental and sociocultural richness of Jalapão will be at the center of the debates of the Mosaic Jalapão Seminar, promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) on August 11th and 12th in the city of Palmas.
The programming of the event will be all face-to-face, with activities in the auditorium and classrooms of Esmat, and it was structured to stimulate dialogue, training and collective construction of solutions for integrated territorial and environmental management of protected areas.
Just at the opening, the participants will have the opportunity to attend the magna lecture on "Shared and integrated management of protected areas in the Amazon Continental", taught by Justice Marco Villas Boas, general director of ESMAT and President of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem).
Thematic panels and community listening
Also on the 11th , thematic panels will address different perspectives on mosaic management, including the challenges and potential of Conservation Units, with representatives from ICMBio, EPA of Jalapão, RPPN Catedral (Cathedral) of Jalapão and Inema/BA.
Then, the panel of the quilombola communities and civil society will highlight the experiences and demands of traditional peoples and local organizations.
The Seminar ends on the 12th with a table of debates in the morning, followed by the plenary of proposals, in which the results of the workshops will be presented and systematized for future forwardings.

With limited vacancies, the event is aimed at magistrates, servers, public managers, representatives of traditional communities, researchers, students and civil society.
