
The Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) will bring together representatives of the Permanent Centers for Consensual Methods of Conflict Resolution (Nupemecs) and the Judicial Centers for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejuscs) from all over the country, on June 16th, 17th and 18th, at the 17th National Forum on Mediation and Conciliation (Fonamec).
With the theme: “It's time to turn conflicts into opportunities for conciliation”, the opening ceremony will be held on June 16th, at 5pm, in the auditorium of the TJTO, with the presence of Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, president of the Court, who will chair the Board of Honor alongside Judge Silvana Maria Parfieniuk, coordinator of Nupemec Tocantins.
The event aims to promote qualified debates on the most modern mediation and conciliation techniques within the Brazilian Judiciary, as well as promoting the exchange of good practices and integration among judges, civil servers and other agents working in the area.

Programming
The programming includes lectures by nationally renowned experts, such as Justice Sílvio Dagoberto Orsatto (TJSC), who will talk about the challenges in implementing the 2nd Degree Cejusc; Justice César Felipe Cury (TJRJ), on the subject of “Law and consensus in post-modernity”; Professor Daniela Gabbay Monteiro (FGV), who will take stock of the judicial policy of the Resolution 125 and address the future challenges of judicial mediation in Brazil; and Judge Hildebrando da Costa Marques (TJMT), who will reflect on the access to justice, mediation and the multi-door system.
In addition to the lectures, participants will be able to see practical workshops and, as examples of good practice: the launch of the 2025 edition of the MANUAL OF CEJUSCS, the TJTO Accreditation System platform, and the 2nd edition of the Conciliation Award.
The closing ceremony is scheduled for June 18th, with an alignment meeting between the members of the Nupemecs, strengthening the commitment to integration and continuous development of policies for consensual conflict resolution.
About Fonamec
Created in December of 2014, Fonamec is made up of coordinators from the Nupemecs in the States and the Federal District, as well as magistrates who run the Cejuscs. Since its creation, the forum has established itself as one of the main forums of the Judiciary for improving consensual methods of conflict resolution.
