
From May 5th to 8th, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) is holding the IV Week to Combat Harassment and Discrimination, with a programming aimed at raising awareness, preventing and confronting abusive practices in the workplace. The activities include a magna lecture broadcast live and two face-to-face discussions in the courts of Gurupi and Araguaína.
The initiative, coordinated by Justice Ângela Issa Haonat, is in line with the Resolution 351 of the CNJ of 2020, which establishes the Policy for Preventing and Confronting Moral Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination within the Judiciary, and aims to strengthen an institutional culture based on respect, equity and human dignity.
Participation is free and open to judges, civil servers, trainees, employees, partner bodies and members of the community in general.
May 5th
The programming starts on Monday (May 5th) with a lecture on “Moral and Sexual Harassment and Discrimination”, given by Justice Tânia Regina Silva Reckziegel. Nationally recognized for her work in the area, the magistrate was the first national Ombudsman for Women of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) and she currently chairs the College of Judicial Ombudsmen for Women (Cojum).
The event will be held in hybrid form, with face-to-face participation in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) and live transmission via the virtual platform of Esmat. The programming also includes the presentation of the results of an institutional research on the subject and the launch of the Cordel Prize Against Harassment and Discrimination.
May 6th
On Tuesday (May 6th), Class I of the Round of Conversation on “How to identify and overcome situations of harassment in the workplace?” will be held at the District Court of Gurupi, from 1pm to 2:30pm. The activity will be attended by Justice Angela Issa Haonat, Judge Edilene Pereira de Amorim Alfaix Natário, the president of the PAD Commission of the TJTO, Hérika Mendonça Honorato, and Psychologist Almerinda Maria Skeff Cunha.
May 8th
The same Round of Conversation will be held on May 8th in the District Court of Araguaína, at the same time, with the participation of Judge Fabiano Ribeiro, as well as the mentioned debaters.
