Registrations Are Open For Event On “Combating Corruption And Money Laundering”

On November 26th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) will hold the virtual event on “Combating Corruption and Money Laundering”. The activity is free and open to the public.

The 2-hour event will be led by Prosecutor Cassio Roberto Conserino, who worked for the Group of Special Action to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) between 2003 and 2012, in the regions of Ribeirão Preto and Santos. Conserino is the author of legal works, including “Money Laundering and Organized Crime”, and co-author of “Organized Crime and Money Laundering: Theory and Jurisprudence”.

The aim of the event is to train judges, prosecutors, lawyers, delegates and civil servers to identify, investigate and prosecute money laundering crimes and their antecedents, with a focus on crimes against the public administration and illegal gambling. The initiative seeks to strengthen the fight against corruption and organized crime in Brazil.
