I Workshop On Good Practices In Collective Guardianship Starts This Monday (September 2th)

Build a portfolio of good practices to value and disseminate concrete actions and legal communications in collective actions. It is with this objective that the National Council of Justice (CNJ) promotes, from September 2nd to 4th, the I Journey of Good Practices in Collective Tutelages. The opening of the event, which will be attended by the President of the CNJ and the Supreme Federal Court, Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, is scheduled for 7 pm, this Monday (September 2nd), in the Superior Tribunal of Labor (TST).

The event, made in partnership with the National School of Labor Magistracy (Enamat) and TST, is a realization of the National Forum of Collective Actions (Fonacol) and it will be broadcast by the channel of the CNJ on YouTube.

On Tuesday (September 3rd), from 9 am to 6:10 pm, also at TST, there will be panels on the following topics: Collective Labor Protection; Collective Consumer and Economic Order Protection; Social and Environmental Collective Protection; Collective Protection and Public Property Protection.

Already on Wednesday (September 4th), from 9 am to 4 pm, participants meet at the CNJ headquarters and participate in five workshops to discuss good practices in labor law; environment and climate change; consumer relations and economic order; public assets; and disaster prevention and response. At the end of the event, starting at 4 pm, participants in the I Journey of Good Practices organized by Fonacol will pay tribute to Kazuo Watanabe for his contribution to the studies on collective guardianship. Judge of the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo (TJSP), Kazuo is the author of numerous books, including Access to Justice, Cognition in Civil Process and Mediation as public social and judicial policy.

Monitoring of the judicial actions

Created by the Resolution n. 138/2011 of the CNJ, the Fonacol has among its attributions the monitoring of collective legal actions, involving rights and collective interests, diffuse or individual homogeneous, In addition to the proposal of concrete and normative measures aimed at the modernization of procedural routines, organization, specialization and structuring of judicial units. The Forum is currently chaired by Councilor Pablo Coutinho Barreto.
