Amb Invites Magistrates From The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins To The Viii National Meeting Of State Judges (Enaje)

The Association of the Brazilian Magistrates (AMB), together with the Association of Magistrates of the State of São Paulo (Apamagis), invites Judges from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins to register and take part in the VIII National Meeting of State Judges - ENAJE, which takes place between November 14th and 16th at the Memorial to Latin America in the capital of São Paulo.

With a national scope, this traditional event for the Brazilian judiciary takes place every three years, highlighting its political and scientific importance, recognized by the legal community, and bringing together authorities and big names representing the Judiciary and Civil Society.

Digital Democracy

With the theme on “The Judiciary in a Digital Democracy - Challenges, Problems and the Modernization of the Brazilian Justice”, the 8th ENAJE will offer a programming of lectures and plenary sessions on the impact of digital technologies on judicial independence, sustainability and the strengthening of the rule of law.

Among the speakers already confirmed are: the President of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Justice Luís Roberto Barroso; Justice Dias Toffoli of the STJ; Justice Daniela Teixeira of the STJ; Justices Joel Paciornik and Sérgio Kukina of the STJ; and Justice Morgana Richa of the STJ.

Debate and reflexion

According to the President of AMB, Judge Frederico Mendes Júnior, Enaje is a unique opportunity to discuss and reflect on the role of Judges in Brazilian society. 

“We are experiencing technological changes that present major challenges, but which can contribute to improving the delivery of justice. The scientific program will reflect AMB's concern for the future of the judiciary,” he said.

Registrations

With more than 1,000 people expected to take part, the 8th edition of ENAJE has already released the first batch of registrations, open until September 15th.
