On Thursday (April 4th), the laboratories of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) welcomed the first group of civil servers from the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) for the Workshop on Workforce Sizing (DFTs).
The initiative "is a method for identifying the need for people to carry out the activities and skills required to achieve organizational objectives. It's a time to analyze current and future work demands, identify gaps and develop strategies to remedy them," explained Justice Ângela Prudente, vice-President of the TJTO.
In her comments, she said she was looking forward to the results and stressed her confidence in the commitment of all the employees involved.
"I invite all the employees designated by their managers to take part in the workshops, so that they can contribute with their knowledge, experience and expertise, so that we can move forward and map out the workforce scenario at our Court. As in the other phases that preceded them, with considerable success due to the commitment of our valuable collaborators, once again I am counting on the dedication of you, the true protagonists of this process," she said.
Started in 2013 to promote strategic people management policies, the "People Management by Competencies" project was resumed by the TJTO in 2023 and focuses on aligning people management activities with the strategic planning of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins (PJTO), as well as developing the competencies needed to achieve institutional objectives.
Moving into another phase with the holding of face-to-face workshops, workforce sizing consists of a systematic and continuous process of assessing current and future human resource needs, with regard to the number, composition and profile of civil servers. Its aim is to indicate the ideal number of people with the appropriate skills, competencies and aptitudes to carry out the duties in each unit, with the appropriate technological, environmental and training resources.
