Registrations are open for the III Webinar on "citizenship and justice from the indigenous of the state of tocantins point of view - a necessary dialogue and the law

The registrations for the III Webinar on "Citizenship and Justice from the Indigenous of the State of Tocantins Point of View - A Necessary Dialogue and the Law" are open. The event aims to awaken and strengthen the awareness of Judges, civil servers and the community about the human rights of the indigenous peoples, as well as understand the cultural order, customs and traditions of the indigenous peoples.

The event will have a duration of 3 hours and it will be in EaD modality, with transmission through the Virtual Platform of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT). With a program divided into three blocks, the Webinar will take place on April 18th, starting at 2pm.

In this edition we thought of interviews with experts and scholars on indigenous issues, followed by debates in which the participants will be able to discuss and deepen the presented topics.

In the first block, the theme on "Social inclusion and the role of indigenous women in society" will be addressed, with the participation of the public defender and coordinator of the Specialized Center for Ethnic Issues and the Fight against Racism (NUCORA), Arthur Luiz Pádua Marques; and the secretary of the Original and Traditional Peoples of the State of Tocantins, Narúbia Silva Werreria.

In the second block, the theme on "Democracy and representativeness of the indigenous peoples" will be discussed, with the participation of the councilman from the city of Itacajá-TO, Renato Yahé Krahô; and the Anthropologist from Funai, Gustavo Hamilton de Sousa Menezes.

The third and last block will debate the theme on "Law of the Indigenous Peoples and the protection of the environment", with the participation of the Attorney of the Republic in the State of Tocantins, Álvaro Lotufo Manzano, and the Judge of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins and Assistant Director of Esmat, José Ribamar Mendes Júnior. Judge Wellington Magalhães will mediate the three blocks.
