Cine Forum Rights View holds a debate next Monday, 14th

It happens, on Monday (14th), another edition of the forums on cinematographic works with a human rights awareness and promotion approach, promoted by the Project Rights View, of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Jurisdictional and Human Rights, promoted by the School of Judges of Tocantins (Esmat) in partnership with the Federal Univerity of Tocantins (UFT). The work in question will be the short film H (hear)?”, available free of charge on YouTube platform.

The event will take place from 8 to 10 pm, with the theme Child and Justice System. In this IV Cine Forum, the dialogue on the theme “Child and the Justice System” will be in connection with the awareness caused by the documentary H (Hear)?, which debates the Special Testimony of Children and Adolescent Victims or Witnesses of Sexual Violence, and for shared and interdisciplinary construction of knowledge, it will count with the participation of magistrates, psychologists, social workers, members of a center for the defense of the rights of the child, the academic community and specialist researchers linked to the PPGPJDH UFT / ESMAT.

About Cine Forum Rights View

The Cine Forum Rights View is an activity that integrates the EducaDH Extension Project, linked to the Education and Human Rights Research Group, of the Master’s Program in Jurisdictional Provision and Human Rights, at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), in partnership with the School of Judges of Tocantins (PPGPJDH/UFT/ESMAT), and has the support of the State Public Defender (DPE). Its objectives are to raise awareness about human rights through qualified dialogue on themes and everyday practices of society, stimulated by the cinematographic language; contribute to the formation of a culture of peace and education in Human Rights as a parto f the research of the Master’s course in Jurisdictional Delivery and Human Rights; promote access to culture and scientific dialogue on human rights with society, allowing free and plural participation in a space of interconnectedness; and to disseminate, in an interdisciplinary way, the legal and scientific knowledge about Human Rights and the contento f the research carried out within the scope of UFT/ESMAT. Two other debates on cinematographic productions are scheduled to discuss the rights of the child, the elderly and indigenous peoples.

Participants must watch the films in advance, available on movie and series provider platforms via streaming. The Cine Forum is developed entirely on the virtual platform ZOOM, requiring personal computer equipment with internet access.
