The search for a fairer and equal society, respecting diversity and nature, finding mechanisms to promote a better world, was the subject explained on Friday afternoon (6th), in the second and last part of the II Seminar on Citizenship of Tocantins. The event, promoted by the Tocantins State Justice Court (TJTO), through the School of Judges of Tocantins (ESMAT), reflected on the processes of formation and construction/development of human citizenship and sociability, centered on the Fundamental Human Rights.
In the first lecture, judge Marcelo Salmaso, from São Paulo (SP), presented the theme Restorative Justice - a Possible Justice, the methodological and action proposals for the solution of crimes and violence guided by sensitivity - from listening to the offenders and victims, thus finding a resolution to the conflicts. The lecture was given by judge Julianne Freire.
And with the theme Citizenship, Education and Justice: an encounter that transforms life, the judge from São Paulo (SP) José Renato Nalin recalled the need for Brazilians to understand and seek mechanisms that promote citizenship and the appreciation of human rights. Passing through criticism and suggestions for the emergence of environmental postures, the Judge pointed out ways for society to find a new look for the promotion of citizenship. The lecture was debated by judge Cledson José Dias Nunes.
The 2nd Tocantins Citizenship Seminar, held for the first time in a virtual way due to health restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, was directed to magistrates, servers of the Judiciary in Tocantins and society in general, and had more than 900 participants. The event was transmitted entirely in the Distance Learning mode, through Esmat's Virtual Platform.
