Lecture about self-knowledge opens the "Parents Week: Because they also need care and shelter" program, promoted by TJ

In the week that Father's Day is celebrated, the Judiciary, through a joint action of the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) and the General Internal Affairs of Justice (CGJUS-TO) started, on Monday (2nd), the "Parents' Week: Because they also need care and shelter". The program started with a lecture given by Kau Mascarenhas, a reference in human development.

Participating in the opening, Judge João Rigo Guimarães, president of TJTO, reminded that the father of a family also needs care and shelter. "Fathers are also vulnerable people, who have qualities, but also defects. So it is very important that we have this awareness when we pay this tribute. For Judge Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, Chief of the Internal Affair’s office, the initiative, idealized by Rosa Maria Gazire Rossi, assistant Judge of the CGJUS, counted on the participation of several sectors of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins. Thus, with many hands, this week's program was lovingly prepared for the appreciation, care, health, balance, love, and welcoming of the father figure. "We honor all the fathers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins and bring to the workplace, even through virtual channels, the important role played within the family and society," she said.

Remembering the affective value of fatherhood, Judge Odete Almeida, president of Asmeto, stressed the importance of the father figure. "The magistrate father, the server father, our co-workers are valuable people, they are workers who dedicate themselves and who, besides everything, need to ingrain in their shoulders all the protective force, all the strength that comes from a family father." The virtual solemnity was also attended by Valdeir Santana, ASTJ's vice-president.

In the lecture "Self-knowledge is believing to see: self-knowledge and self-confidence to win in difficult times", Kau Mascarenhas reminded us that the process of self-knowledge comes from experiences that, in some cases, can be conflicting. "Many times the work of self-knowledge will bring unpleasant surprises. Perhaps that encounter with yourself will be sad and hopeless."

Making a philosophical approach that started from ancient Greece, going through the existentialist thought of Jean Paul Sarte and Franz Kafka and reaching the present day with the thought of the South Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han, considered a critic of the society of hyper-consumerism today, the speaker reinforced that, by identifying our weaknesses and limitations, we are led to enter and understand our personality. "The act of realizing that what comes out of us in words and gestures is also part of us is a first path to a good process of self-knowledge," he stressed.

The program continues until next Friday (6th). In order to provide ample service to parents, several units of the Judiciary were involved, including the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), the Health Space, the Center for Psychosocial Care (NAPSI), the Communication Board of the Court and the Planning Office of the Inspector General's Office, as well as other areas.
