Changes in the commercialization of ethanol in the brazilian market are discussed in a Webinar promoted by Copedem

Discussions on the marketing of hydrous ethanol producer or importer with retail fuel reseller, its legal implications, possible damage and / or benefits to consumers were debated on the morning of Thursday (28th), during the Fuel Distribution Webinar: Flag Guard and Direct Ethanol Sales. The Webinar was promoted by the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Judges (COPEDEM) in partnership with the National School of the Judges (ENM) and with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), under the coordination of Memory – Judicial Memory.

Moderated by Judge Cristina Tereza Gaulia, General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Rio de Janeiro (EMERJ), the event also counted with the presence of the Judges Marco Villas Boas (TJTO), president of Copedem and general director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins; and Caetano Levi (TJMG), President Director of the National School of the Judges.

Since 2008, the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) has adopted a rule that prohibits the retailer of a brand (flag) from selling the product of another brand. The regulatory protection of the loyalty to the brand carries with it the justification of consumer protection against the marketing of fuel of unknown origin by retailers using brands of national penetration, in addition to other reasons related to the reliability of the brand and the origin of the product. Another theme analyzed in the Webinar was the sale of ethanol directly from the producer to the service station.

The Webinar was attended by Mr. Guido Silveira Filho, president of Sindicom; Mr. Carlos Eduardo Delgado, Judge and vice-president of Ajufe, for the 3rd region; Mr. Luciano Godoy, lawyer and partner at LUC Lawyers; Mr. Octávio Corrêa, lawyer and founding partner at DTC Advocacy; and Mr. Felipe Feres, lawyer.
