IESS and copedem promote another edition of the supplementary health legal journey

This Thursday (26th), from 11am to 1pm, the new edition of the Supplementary Health Legal Seminar will take place, with the ACCESS TO MEDICINES AND THE RISK TO THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE HEALTH SYSTEM theme.

Held by the Institute for Supplementary Health Studies (IESS), in partnership with the Permanent College of Directors of Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM) and the portal Legal Advisor (CONJUR), the meeting seeks to discuss the provision of health care and access to services, such as the provision of medicines, in the middle of the sustainability of the sector.

The event counts with the participation of Justice Marco Villas Boas, president of Copedem and General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT); Minister Paulo de Tarso Sanseverino, from the Superior Court of Justice; Justice Sebastião Ribeiro Martins (TJPI); Economist Ana Carolina Maia, Professor at FEA/USP and Specialist in Supplementary Health; and Lawyer Samir Martins, manager of the Normative Advisory of the National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS).

"The legal seminars, held by the IESS and its partners, are opportunities to enhance the dialogue between supplementary health and the Judiciary. One of the main focuses of the debate will be to reinforce how both parties can contribute to a sustainable, fair and balanced health system for beneficiaries and facilitate access to this type of service," says José Cechin, executive superintendent of the IESS.

In this opportunity, the participants will analyze how the Judiciary has dealt with the access to medicines, especially the high-cost ones; the ways to preserve the sustainability of the health system and the criteria of the governments and regulatory agencies for the incorporation of medicines, aiming to bring legal security to the health system.

The initiative is presented by JurisHealth, IESS platform focused on legal and regulatory information on the supplementary health. The event can be followed by the SITE of the IESS and the YOUTUBE channels of the IESS and ConJur.
