Esmat holds workshops with retirement preparation tips

On Thursday (15th), the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) promoted the last day of the  Retirement Preparation Workshops of 2022. With 20 hours, the event was divided into three axes, with a specific theme for each day.

Preparing workers for retirement, by encouraging new social projects, according to their interests, and providing information about social and citizenship rights, is an initiative of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, which has been developed since 2015.

Held in person at Esmat, the activities offered the participants some guidance on psychological, social, legal and health aspects related to the retirement process and planning for the future, with a view to strengthening the constitution of a life project for the post-retirement moment.

Axis III — Projecting the Future

On its last day, the workshops were focused on themes related to Family Finances, Social Participation and Citizenship, and Family Relations. Responsible for the first lecture, the facilitator Rogério Lopes da Conceição thanked the participation of all the public servers and, in his speech, he highlighted his optimism about the performance and learning developed during the event.

“It is important that the servers dedicate themselves to their finances, to maintain their consumption cell, aiming at economy and financial abundance", he commented.

For the 57 year old clerk, Nei Oliveira, the workshops play an important role in the adaptation and orientation for the future of the retirees, “I had some resistance at the beginning because I had already applied for my retirement and I thought that it was all right to retire. But the event helped me to understand some things, it showed what we can do when we leave here and it opened an even bigger horizon for us. It was a very good experience to participate in the workshops.”

According to Maria, 51 years old, the event is important not only for the public servers who are close to retirement, but also for the whole Judiciary. “The workshops were wonderful, with a lot of learning. It would be a great option for the Court to adopt a course from the beginning of the career of the civil servers in the Judiciary, so that everyone can learn and then know how to deal with retirement when the time comes.”

This year, the workshops were given by the facilitators Maria Carmen Tatagiba Sily, Flavio Cavalcante de Assis, Paulo Beli Moura Stakoviak Júnior, Ione Lira de Sousa Cavalcante, Adriana Magna Sousa da Silva Ramalho and Rogério Lopes da Conceição.
