Spokespeople Of The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins Participate In Media Training To Improve Institutional Communication

With a very dynamic and interactive presentation, the legal journalist and media trainer, João Camargo Neto, started this Monday (9th), the course on "Media Training for Spokespeople of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins". The training, carried out by the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), continues until Friday (13th) and it will train thirty people, including justices, judges and civil servers.

When opening the course, the general director of the School, Justice Marco Villas Boas, stressed the need for the Judiciary to expand dialogue with society more and more.

“We have to know how to dialogue and, for a few years now, especially with the advent of simple language resources, we need to develop methodologies and techniques to improve this dialogue; this course helps us even more in this process", he noted.

With a focus on promoting transparency, credibility and institutional reputation, the course aims to improve relations with the press and prepare spokespeople for the most diverse fronts of action.

Media Training is to know the strategic moment of communicating, how to communicate, and how to bring all this to society", explained the professor, highlighting clarity and objectivity as one of the main guidelines for good communication.

In addition to the theoretical part, the morning schedule also featured the participation of the Speech Therapist Adriana Ferraz, who presented the students with techniques to improve dictation. "The proposal of this workshop is to bring what contributes so that the participant has a good voice. These are practical exercises to learn how to work breathing, articulation and resonance." explained the speech therapist. 

The Director of Social Media at the Court of Justice (Cecom/TJTO), Paula Bittencourt, also participated in the explanation and presented the products/projects developed by Cecom.

“We have several initiatives aimed at improving our communication with the various audiences, both internal and external, always with the same goal: to promote objective, easy-to-understand, transparent and agile communication," she said when presenting the Communication Plan. 

By Friday, the participants will still conduct mock interviews and recordings, with individual technical feedback from the teacher.

For the assistant judge of the Presidency, Ariostenis Guimarães, the training is an opportunity to improve institutional communication. "This contact with communication professionals contributes on making our dialogue with society more efficient and clear, a necessity that is increasingly relevant in the lives of all those who are part of the Judiciary," assessed the magistrate. 

About the course

Accredited by the National School for Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam), the course is coordinated by Maysa Vendramini Rosal, president of the TJTO; and Judge Wellington Magalhães, deputy director of Superior Studies and Research at Esmat. It also has the teacher and doctoral student Lily Sany Silva Leite as co-speaker.
