Course Coordinated By The Vice Presidency Of The TJTO On Intelligence Interview Impacts Among Civil Servers Of Other Courts

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) closed, on October 24th, the course on Behavioral Analysis focused on Intelligence Interview, aimed at professionals in the area of Institutional Security of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins and partner agencies. With a workload of 40 hours and activities carried out over five days, the training aimed to improve technical skills for conducting interviews in the context of intelligence activity. 

Coordinated by the vice-president of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), Justice Jacqueline Adorno de La Cruz Barbosa, the course included theoretical and practical classes, simulations, active methodologies and contents aimed at identifying verbal and non-verbal signs, in addition to the use of the SCAnR® methodology in behavior analysis.

The activities were conducted by specialist Ana Paula Alves Ferreira Botelho, federal criminal police with more than 18 years of service in the prison system.

The course brought together participants from various institutions, including magistrates, civil servers of the TJTO, representatives of other courts, public security forces and the State Prosecution.

For the captain of the Military Police of the Court of Justice of the state of Bahia (TJBA), Cristiano Bitencourt da Silva, the content offered expanded the understanding on communication and behavior.

“The course was an enriching and transformative experience. The approaches to non-verbal communication brought a new perspective on reading and interpreting behaviors. The explanation of the six communication channels was clear, practical and of great professional applicability. The content was presented with excellence and technical mastery. I recommend to all who wish to improve their skills in behavioral analysis in interviews", he shared.

Alfredo Augusto Vasconcelos Nobre, of the Intelligence Advisory Board of the Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais (TJMS), emphasized the relevance of the topic in the context of police action and recognized the initiative as strategic for the technical improvement of the area.

“The course presents a topic of great utility in the exercise of police activity. The TJTO was right in making the study about human behavior, its relevance and applicability during an interview. The study environment offered by Esmat, added to the high qualification of the professor, facilitated the understanding of a content of high complexity", he praised.

This joint action among different institutions was highlighted as one of the training differentials by José Carlos Garcia, head of the Intelligence Division of the Center for Institutional Intelligence and Security (NIS), who highlighted how the activities reinforce the vocation of the TJTO as a national reference on the subject.

"The course enabled the integration of representatives from various Courts and local agencies, promoting an in-depth study on behavioral analysis applied to intelligence interviews. The topics covered will certainly contribute to the improvement of the activities developed by the participating bodies. Once again, the TJTO reaffirms its position of national prominence as a reference in training focused on intelligence within the Judiciary", commented.
