Closed Course On Lgpd (General Data Protection Law) Aimed At Extrajudicial Services In The State Of Tocantins

It was closed on Wednesday (October 8th), at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), the course on " General Data Protection Law (LGPD) applied to the Extrajudicial Services of the State of Tocantins", aimed at holders and responsible for the notary offices of the state of Tocantins.

Coordinated by Judge Marcelo Laurito Paro, the training had a 16-hour workload and sought to strengthen understanding of legal compliance with the LGPD, the role of the service offices as treatment agents and the impacts of regulation on the daily life of extrajudicial services.

During the two days of activities, participants discussed topics such as Legal Bases for Data Processing, Communication of Security Incidents, Information Governance and Good Compliance Practices, with case studies and simulated exercises. Among the facilitators, Professor Douglas Chagas da Silva highlighted the essential role of extrajudicial services in legal relations.

“The importance of extrajudicial services in legal relations is of fundamental importance. Giving due legal and regulatory compliance in privacy and protection of personal data brings transparency and legitimacy to these relationships, highlighting the importance of these institutions in the life of citizens", commented.

The training was also attended by Professor Franklin Jeferson dos Santos, data protection specialist with a Master of Laws in GDPR and LGPD, from the University of Lisbon and College of Law of the state of Minas Gerais.
