Second Class Of The Course On Written Communication Begins

On Tuesday (September 9th), the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) began its second class of the course on Written and Strategic Communication course. The activity is part of strategic institutional development actions based on the results of the Competency Assessment carried out in the 2022-2024 biennium, under the supervision of the Competency-Based People Management Committee, chaired by Justice Ângela Prudente.

Aimed at employees of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins nominated by the Directorate of People Management, the course is offered in a distance learning format, with synchronous classes via Google Meet and activities in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA).

In total, there will be 20 hours of training, divided into four modules: language fundamentals; institutional communication; textual cohesion and coherence; and textual production practice.

The classes are conducted by facilitator Sibele Letícia Rodrigues de Oliveira Biazotto, with the assistance of monitor Glacielle Borges Torquato. The first module of the training addressed the fundamentals of language, focusing on linguistic varieties, linguistic prejudice, levels of language (formal, informal, and technical-legal), as well as guidelines from the SimpleTOC Program.

During the course opening, Professor Sibele emphasized the importance of training. “Living languages transform and change; they are created differently, and we also need to keep up with these changes when they are incorporated into our lives,” she said.
