Judges and civil servers from the Judiciary who work directly in custody hearings; Seciju professionals who work in the Custody Hearing Service (Apec); and professionals from the Group for Monitoring and Supervision of the Prison System and Execution of Socio-Educational Measures (GMF) can register, starting this Tuesday (July 8th), for the Updating Course on Custody Hearings, which is being coordinated by Judge José Eustáquio Melo Júnior.

The 45-hour training course will be held virtually from August 25th to September 30th. With the aim of improving the custody hearings institute in the state of Tocantins, so that it consolidates itself as an instrument for controlling the legality of any act of detention and, consequently, also for regulating the gateway to the prison system, the course activities will rely on the experience of eight teachers.
